How to Run Effective Virtual Meetings

Virtual meetings face the same problems that meetings in person face but they are also subject to distractions and technological obstacles. You can still run an efficient virtual meeting by following a simple meeting protocol.

A schedule is crucial to ensuring that virtual meetings run on time, and for keep participants interested throughout the meeting. You can also motivate participants by asking open-ended questions, soliciting feedback and assigning roles to note down or record the next steps.

If you’re making slides or other visuals for your presentation, be sure to test them prior to time, along with any hardware or software you may require. Arrive look at here early to allow time to fix any technical problems that may arise prior to the scheduled start time.

It’s hard to read the body language and emotions when you can’t see attendees — so keep eye contact with everyone, or at least request everyone to do so as long as they’re comfortable doing it.
